Exhaust Fan Caused Fire Damage

The bathroom exhaust fan in the Before picture caused our customer in Decatur, GA to encounter fire damages in her home which affected one of the bedrooms as the After picture illustrates. Exhaust fans help prevent steamed up mirrors, damp walls, and fogged windows along with removing odors. However, they can also present a potential fire hazard if not cleaned and maintained on a regular basis. Fans, over time build up lint which can cause the motor to overheat and ignite the lint, plastic fan blades, and the nearby combustible wood structure. Our Professionals cleaned the exhaust fan by removing the fan cover to clean and remove the lint from around the motor, and they paid careful attention to all air-flow areas. Thereafter, they washed the fan cover to remove all lint. They also checked if there was any mold growing on the fan and used the required products to remove all traces of mold. They ensured that the cover is completely dry before replacing it. Our Technicians then performed remediation services to the affected room.
